Five9 Appoints CFO

Bob Murphy brings extensive financial management and leadership experience to provider of hosted contact center solutions

Pleasanton, Calif. (September 20, 2004) — Five9, Inc., the leading provider of hosted contact center solutions, today announced the appointment of Bob Murphy as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, reporting to President and CEO Brian Silverman. Murphy will oversee the company's finance and accounting functions and help develop and implement a long-term growth strategy for the company's domestic and international expansion. In addition, he will direct the legal, human resources and administrative functions for the company. Murphy comes to Five9 with more than 25 years of experience managing early-stage companies in rapid growth and turnaround environments, strategic planning, raising capital and financial management. "The addition of Bob to our management team is strategic to the growth of our company and will undoubtedly help us achieve our goals," said Silverman. "Bob has exceptional experience and a proven track record managing companies in rapid growth environments which will make him a valuable asset to Five9." Murphy most recently served as CFO of Ventaso, Inc, a software and professional services company. While there he raised $30M in funding, helped refocus the business model to sell enterprise solutions to Fortune 1000 companies and served as interim COO while the company searched for a new CEO. Prior to Ventaso, Bob held vice president and C-level positions at several telecommunications companies, twice appearing on The Inc. 500, an annual listing of America's 500 fastest growing privately-held companies. Bob began his career as an investment banker with Birr, Wilson & Co. in San Francisco where he specialized in advising and raising capital for emerging growth companies.
