Company appoints experienced telecommunications executive Artemio "Junie" Pama to lead new office; representing first US company to bring on-demand call center technology to Southeast Asia
PLEASANTON, Calif. and MAKATI CITY, Philippines (July 7, 2005) — Five9, Inc., the leader in on-demand contact center solutions, today announced the opening of an office in the Philippines. The new office, located in the premier business district of Makati, will focus on sales and support, and help Five9 accelerate its expansion into Southeast Asia, which is rapidly emerging as the next high-growth area for the outsourced call center industry. To guide the expansion and oversee the new office, Five9 has hired Artemio "Junie" P. Pama, Jr. as country manager. In this position, Pama will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities throughout the region.

Pama comes to Five9 with more than 15 years of telecommunications sales and marketing management experience in voice and data communications. Prior to joining Five9, Pama consulted to two Filipino government agencies, the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Food Security and the Office of the Assistant Secretary Regional Operations Group, Department of Trade and Industry, on their ICT strategy. Before that, he held a variety of senior executive positions in sales and marketing at Bayantel, Broadband Philippines, Multimedia Telephony, Inc., Globe Telecoms and Smart Communications.
