Chief Executive Officer

Rowan Trollope is CEO of Five9, a leading provider of cloud contact center software for the enterprise. Rowan is passionate about how digital transformation revolutionizes the way we communicate, in particular how organizations bring personalized experiences to their customers. He joined Five9 as CEO in May 2018.

Rowan is a recognized Silicon Valley leader and has a depth of experience in software solutions and cloud innovation. He is a self-proclaimed geek and taught himself to program on a Commodore 64 at a local Radio Shack and holds a number of patents in computer security and operating systems.

Prior to Five9, Rowan was SVP and General Manager of Cisco's Applications Group and a member of the executive leadership team. Under Rowan's leadership, Cisco refreshed its entire collaboration technology portfolio, simplifying the product line and winning over 20 awards for outstanding product design.

Prior to Cisco, at Symantec Rowan was Group President Sales, Marketing, and Product Development, responsible for cloud security and the SMB market. He developed and grew the Company's Software as a Service strategy and expanded its cloud-based delivery and customer support models.

Barry Zwarenstein has more than 35 years of financial leadership in the technology industry. Barry is responsible for the company's financial planning and operations. In 2019, Barry was awarded the Bay Area CFO of the Year Award for the small to medium public category.

Barry has been the CFO of several companies: He's managed three successful IPOs (Five9, VeriFone and Logitech), and played a significant role in the sale of SMART Modular Technologies to Silver Lake Partners for $635M and the sale of Acuson to Siemens Health Care for $700M. Barry was also CFO of Iomega Corporation and Mellanox Technologies. Barry holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Natal, South Africa and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.

Barry's philosophy is to take a broad approach to the role of CFO and become an effective business partner across the entire organization. Barry's approach is to keep shareholders adequately informed, ensure sufficient funding, drive process improvements, and report accurate and timely financial information. A key element that connects these roles are in-depth, contextual analyses about all aspects of the business; something that is easily accomplished in a cloud company like Five9 since there is an abundance of consistent and coherent data. He also believes it is essential to have best-in-class, scalable, and integrated systems, as well as a strong, seasoned finance team.

As President of Five9, Dan Burkland manages the entire customer lifecycle from sales to implementation to ongoing support – all critical to customer success for a cloud software company.

He heads global sales, including all direct sales, channels, System Integrators, and ISV partnerships. By leading implementation, professional services, and customer support organizations, Dan has elevated the exceptional, industry-recognized customer service that Five9 provides to its clients.

Dan has more than 30 years of contact center experience building and scaling successful sales and leadership teams. Before Five9, Dan was SVP of Sales at Transera Communications. He also ran worldwide sales for IP Unity, growing the business tenfold, and held sales management positions at Cisco and GeoTel.

Executive Vice President of Product Management

Based in San Francisco, Callan Schebella is EVP of Product Management. Callan has worked his entire career in Voice Automation, Machine Learning and related technologies, with a focus on creating solutions that make it easier for businesses of all sizes to build and maintain speech-enabled applications.

He was CEO of Inference Solutions prior to the company being acquired in 2020. Callan held multiple roles at Inference Solutions, first as co-founder, then chief architect and finally as CEO. He helped grow Inference from an initial concept to an established market leader in the Intelligent Virtual Agent space. Prior to Inference, he started his career at Telstra Research Laboratories in Australia working on spoken dialog systems and technology commercialization.

Callan has a master's degree in engineering from the University of South Australia and an MBA from Melbourne Business School.

Genefa Murphy is the Chief Marketing Officer for Five9. With over 15 years of global experience in the field of technology from consulting, to product management, strategy and marketing, she is an accomplished leader and has led worldwide teams in creating and executing compelling and effective go-to-market strategies.

She is a passionate business executive, with experience across various IT domains. Always a technology enthusiast, she consistently looks for new opportunities to break the mold and push boundaries, to lift her teams to the next level – exemplified by her proven track record, ranging from execution of global product releases to building go-to-market strategies for both incubation solutions and established product lines, and driving hands on digital transformation.

Most recently, Genefa was the SVP and CMO for Micro Focus, a multi-billion dollar enterprise software company. In this role, she led her team through the separation from HPE, acquisition into Micro Focus and the subsequent transformation of the marketing and enablement teams. She also helped transform the underlying marketing tech stack, helping deliver scale and exceptional ROI for the company, its customers and partners. Genefa previously, held various global roles across products, marketing, enablement and communications at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and HP.

Genefa holds a BSc in Business IT and a PhD, which focused on the intersection of technology and sociology in determining technology adoption in the enterprise. Genefa has been recognized as a global CMO of the year and CRN Woman of the Channel for her contributions to the partner and channel eco-system.

Executive Vice President of Strategy & Operations

James Doran is the Executive Vice President of Strategy & Operations at Five9, responsible for advancing the company's growth strategy and operational maturity to enable the organization to deliver on its promise. James is a widely respected veteran leader, having led multiple business transformations throughout his 20+ years in the industry.

Prior to Five9, James was Vice President of Strategy & Operations for Cisco's Collaboration division, where he led the business transformation to subscription, inked alliances with SalesForce, Apple, IBM and Google and drove the merger and acquisition agenda to include Broadsoft, Mindmeld and AppDynamics. James also held a variety of executive positions at Symantec, worked in strategy consulting, with successful start-ups, and served on staff for both the White House and Capitol Hill.

James received a BA in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer

Kimberly Lytikainen is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Five9, responsible for all legal affairs and compliance matters for the company. Kimberly brings over 25 years of legal and leadership experience to help the Five9 organization scale globally with balanced risk.

Prior to Five9, she was the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Poshmark, a next gen consumer marketplace company, and, prior to that, led MINDBODY, a SaaS company, through an IPO, several strategic acquisitions, and their sale to Vista Equity Partners as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary. She has also held Vice President positions at Pivotal and NVIDIA, where she enabled many key customer relationships, effectively resolved high stakes litigation and stewarded NVIDIA through several large international transactions. Kimberly began her in-house career at Sun Microsystems, after seven years as a trial attorney handling complex IP cases.

Andy Dignan is the Executive Vice President of Service Delivery & AI Solutions at Five9. Andy has spent his entire career in the Contact Center and Collaboration space. From consulting, to implementing, to designing, and selling solutions, and his strength lies in his ability to bridge the gap between technical and business level conversations. Whether it's meeting with a CIO or whiteboarding with a CTO, Andy is skilled at developing solutions that create positive business outcomes. He has a deep understating of the technology landscape and is considered an industry expert in the Contact Center & Collaboration industry.

Before moving into this role at Five9, Andy led the Global Partner teams, helping scale the business to become a leading Channel, Global Systems Integrator, and Business Development company. Prior to Five9, Andy was the Global head of Collaboration & Contact Center GTM at Cisco Systems, responsible for 5.5B in annual revenue. Prior to Cisco, Andy led the Collaboration & Contact Center at CDW, taking the business from 300M to 700M in revenue.

Andy is a dynamic and entertaining Speaker with over a decade of experience speaking to large audiences in the high tech industry.

Executive Vice President of Product Engineering

Panos Kozanian is the Executive Vice President of Product Engineering for Five9 and is responsible for all technology operations and security. Panos is a seasoned executive with a proven record of executing technology, process, and cultural changes while managing efficiency and scale across global teams.

Prior to Five9, Panos spent 14 years at Cisco where he led the Webex platform team composed of DevOps, SRE, Data Center Operations, SysOps and Cloud Engineers with responsibility for the productivity, reliability, and operating budget of over 3000 developers. Under Panos' leadership, Webex scaled to four times its pre-pandemic usage - helping enable the business continuity for 85 percent of all Fortune 500 companies.

Executive Vice President, Telco Services & General Manager EMEA

Scott Welch is the executive vice president of Telco Services & EMEA Operations at Five9 and is responsible for global telecom services, and EMEA operations. Scott is a seasoned executive with more than 30 years of experience in software development, technology operations, and management.

Prior to Five9, Welch spent ten-plus years at inContact where he managed a team responsible for several operational functions, including telecom operations, cost of goods, system and network administration, security, database administration, billing operations, network provisioning, and a 7x24 network operations center. Welch also held positions as vice president information services, vice president of application development, and information technology director at various technology companies prior to 2003.

Scott is driven by a strong desire to deliver technology for critical systems in a high tech environment. He believes that system availability is like air for customers, it's necessary every moment and critical when you don't have it. He takes pride in delivering results through a team that is just as passionate as he is about platform performance.

Jonathan Rosenberg Headshot

Chief Technology Officer

Jonathan Rosenberg is the Chief Technology Officer and head of AI at Five9. Jonathan has dedicated his career to transforming the telecommunications industry and joins Five9 from Cisco where he was CTO for the Collaboration Technology Group (CTG). Jonathan is also well known for his authorship of the SIP protocol, which is the foundation for modern IP-based telecommunications. Prior to Cisco, Rosenberg was the Chief Technology Strategist at Skype, where he guided the company's technology strategy. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from MIT and holds a PhD in electrical engineering from Columbia University.

In 2002 he was named one of the most innovative young technologists in the world by Technology Review magazine. He also was named a "Top Supergeek" by CRN and won a Pulver Von Pioneer award for contributions to the VoIP industry. In 2015 he was presented with the Ohio University Strowger Award for transformational innovation in the Telecommunications industry.

David Pickering Headshot

Executive Vice President of Engineering

David Pickering is the executive vice president of engineering, and is responsible for all product and platform development, and Five9's worldwide engineering teams.

Pickering comes to Five9 from Intuit, where he led engineering for QuickBooks Online (QBO) and launched the QuickBooks Accountant segment. As QBO's product development leader he oversaw six years of exceptional growth, with SaaS growing 10x to more than 2.7 million small business subscribers. He previously led engineering for the SaaS Contact Center at Oracle, where he launched its enterprise call center and contact center suite. Pickering also led engineering for TapJoy, a successful targeted marketing and monetization platform for social and mobile developers.

Hardik Parekh Headshot

Chief Information Security Officer

Hardik Parekh is an industry recognized executive with a track record of developing and maturing world-class security programs in enterprise companies including Intuit, Amazon, and Splunk. He executes the companywide global cybersecurity strategy at Five9, ensuring a security minded, risk aware culture through training, Secure Development Lifecycle process implementation and automation.

Prior to Five9, Parekh held several security leadership roles at Splunk, Amazon, Intuit, RSA/EMC, where he built information security, product security, continuous compliance, and security operations strategy, implementation plans and roadmap. In his previous role, as Head of Product Security at Splunk, he developed the product and infrastructure security and privacy strategy, which included on-premise, managed cloud, cloud-native platform/products, mobile products, premium applications and the application store. At Splunk, Parekh led DevSecOps transformation and delivered security at scale and speed. Parekh also built a modern, highly automated Security Operations Center at Amazon's Physical Retail Business Unit as CISO. He contributed to industry standards like OWASP Software Assurance Maturity Model, Building Security In Maturity Model, NIST Secure Software Development Framework, and SANS Top 25 Programming Errors.

Parekh holds M.S. in Computer & Information Science Engineering from University of Florida.

Olga Kibler has more than 20 years of experience in Human Resources leadership at numerous market leading software companies, with expertise in leading in multicultural environments, managing large scale projects for cross-functional global teams, and providing innovative ideas as well as blue-chip international work experience. She is passionate about building high performance teams in high growth environments while delivering a remarkable candidate and employee experience.

Most recently at DocuSign, Olga served as a Vice President of Talent Services and played a key role in leading the company over the past eight years through aggressive growth and in building out a diverse team and inclusive culture across 20 countries.

Olga holds a master's degree in International Trade from Moscow University of Humanities and was a recipient of a USIA scholarship in Economics at the University of Oregon.

Board of Directors

Mike Burkland joined Five9 as CEO in January 2008. Under Mike's leadership as CEO for nearly 10 years, Five9 grew from an 80-person startup with $10 million in annual revenue to an 800-person public company with $200 million in annual revenue. Today Five9 is one of the largest and fastest growing independent providers of cloud contact center software. In December of 2017 Mike transitioned from CEO to Executive Chairman for health reasons.

Before Five9, Mike was the CEO of a handful of enterprise software and cloud companies in market segments ranging from systems management and content management to security and CRM. He has also led three private companies through successful acquisitions by larger public companies. Earlier in his career, he held various positions at Oracle and BMC. Mike holds MBA and BA degrees from the University of California at Berkeley.

Mike's management philosophy is based on creating a team-oriented environment. In Mike's view, building a successful company is analogous to building a winning sports franchise. It requires top talent, the right playbook and most importantly great team chemistry.

Dave Welsh (Menlo Park) is a Partner and is Head of TMT Growth Equity within KKR's Private Equity platform, where he serves on the TMT growth equity investment committee. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Welsh was a Partner with Adams Street Partners, where he focused on technology growth equity investments. Earlier in his career he was Executive Vice President of corporate development and strategy at McAfee, Inc., a General Partner at Partech Ventures and vice president of corporate development at Portal Software. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Cherwell, Five9, ForgeRock, iValua and OneStream. He is also a Board Member of SEO Scholars SF and the Special Olympics of Northern Calif & Nevada, and is the Chair Emeritus of the Board of Trustees of the Athenian School. He holds a B.A., cum laude, from UCLA and a JD, order of the coif, from UC Berkeley and Harvard Law Schools.

Michael J. Burdiek has served as the president and chief executive officer and also as a member of the Board of Directors of CalAmp since 2011. From 2006 to 2011, Michael held various positions at CalAmp, a global provider of wireless communications solutions, including president of CalAmp's Wireless DataCom segment and president and chief operating officer. Prior to joining CalAmp, Michael was the president and CEO of Telenetics Corporation, a manufacturer of data communications products. From 1987 to 2003, Michael held a variety of technical and general management positions with Comarco Inc., most recently as senior vice president and general manager of Comarco's Wireless Test Systems unit. Michael holds a master's degree in business administration and a master's degree in electrical engineering from California State University, Fullerton, and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Kansas State University.

Kimberly Alexy is the principal of Alexy Capital Management, a private investment management firm that she founded in 2005. She has more than 20 years of experience in capital markets, corporate finance and investments. Kimberly is a seasoned finance professional and corporate board member and has served on a dozen public company and pre-IPO boards. She previously served as the senior vice president and managing director for Prudential Securities, vice president of equity research at Lehman Brothers and assistant vice president of corporate finance at Wachovia Bank. Kimberly also serves as an active board member at Alteryx, FireEye and Western Digital Corp and has previously served as a board member at CalAmp, Microsemi, Vizio, Dot Hill Systems, Maxtor, Smart Modular Technologies, and Southwest Water Company.

Jack Acosta has served in a board role for multiple companies. Previously, Jack served as CFO and vice president of finance for Portal Software. Prior to Portal Software, Jack served as executive vice president and CFO as well as vice president, engineering services, integration, and business management for Sybase, Inc. Jack was also the president, COO, and a director of Tanon Manufacturing, Inc. Prior to these assignments, Jack held various management positions at Ungermann-Bass, Inc., Atari, Inc., Diablo Systems, Inc., and Ford Motor Company.

Dave DeWalt is a veteran CEO, advisor, and investor who has led companies, from startup to the Fortune 500, on a transformational journey of success. Focused on technology and cybersecurity, Dave helped create more than $20 billion of shareholder value during his 15 plus years as president and CEO of three major companies. That includes driving the most successful cybersecurity IPO ever in 2013, and leading the largest all-cash deal in technology history in 2010. Today he serves as the chairman of Momentum Cyber, the managing director of Allegis Cyber, founder of NightDragon, as well as an investor and board member in the world's most innovative companies such as Delta Airlines, Five9, ForeScout, Phantom Cyber, CallSign, Claroty, Team8, DataTribe, Illusive Networks, and Optiv. Dave has substantial expertise in the information technology security industry and, with his strategic and operational experience, provides counsel to some of the leading companies in the space. Dave was named one of the 25 most influential executives in high technology by the readers of the industry publication CRN. He has spoken at the World Economic Forum on the issue of cybersecurity and keynoted at several technology industry conferences including Interop and Software 2008 and RSA. He is an alumnus of the University of Delaware

Over the past thirty five years, Robert Zollars has led eleven healthcare and technology companies as President or CEO, ranging in size from $100M to over $5B in revenue. These companies include venture, private equity and publicly traded businesses. His most recent experiences included Chairman and CEO of Vocera, Chairman of Diamond Foods, and Corporate Director of VWR Corporation.

Mr. Zollars currently serves as a Senior Advisor at Frazier Healthcare Partners, and is also a Corporate Director of Change Healthcare, Appian Rx, TCGRX and Kate Farms. He is also a Board Leadership Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and is Co-Chair of The Trustee's of Arizona State University.

Sue Barsamian is a former Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and General Manager who brings both a strong business and technical skillset. Having worked in both early stage and Fortune 50 organizations she has operated in a range of roles from sales and marketing to product, R&D and business operations. Barsamian spent the last 10 years of her 35 year operating career at Hewlett Packard across a range of executive roles including Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for HPE Software ($3B) and General Manager of the Enterprise Security Products business ($1B). Earlier in her career she held leadership positions at Mercury Interactive and Verity, Inc. where she was based in London for four years. Sue's focus as a Board Director is on helping high growth enterprise software, SaaS and cybersecurity companies as they scale. Sue serves as a board member at Box Inc. (NYSE: BOX), NortonLifeLock Inc. (NASDAQ: NLOK, formerly Symantec) and several private companies including Auth0 Inc., Gainsight Inc. and Xactly Corp. She also served on the board of Segment Inc. which was sold in Nov 2020 to Twilio for $3.2B.

Ana Pinczuk is the Chief Development Officer at Anaplan where she drives the Product Management and Engineering teams responsible for Anaplan's product roadmap, software and technology engineering deliverables, and cloud platform. She is also responsible for Customer Care and IT.

Prior to Anaplan, Ana was President and General Manager for HPE Pointnext, HPE's $7B+ services business where she led a team of 25,000 IT experts responsible for driving customer's digital transformation journeys, including Hybrid IT and Intelligent edge consulting, professional and operational services. Previously, Ana held leadership positions at Veritas, where she was Chief Product Officer, and Cisco, where she spent 14 years in various roles including SVP, Global Services Sales, Services COO and SVP, Global Services Support.

Ana is on the board of Aptiv (APTV) and on the Board of Trustees for Cornell University. She is also a member of the International Women's Forum, Latino Donor Collaborative, and Carnegie Mellon Engineering Advisory Board.
