Before Five9, Mike was the CEO of a handful of enterprise software and cloud companies in market segments ranging from systems management and content management to security and CRM. He has also led three private companies through successful acquisitions by larger public companies. Earlier in his career, he held various positions at Oracle and BMC. Mike holds MBA and BA degrees from the University of California at Berkeley.

Barry Zwarenstein has more than 35 years of financial leadership in the technology industry. Barry is responsible for the company's financial planning and operations.
Barry has been the CFO of several companies: He's managed three successful IPOs (Five9, VeriFone and Logitech), and played a significant role in the sale of SMART Modular Technologies to Silver Lake Partners for $635M and the sale of Acuson to Siemens Health Care for $700M. Barry was also CFO of Iomega Corporation and Mellanox Technologies. Barry holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Natal, South Africa and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
Barry's philosophy is to take a broad approach to the role of CFO and become an effective business partner across the entire organization. Barry's approach is to keep shareholders adequately informed, ensure sufficient funding, drive process improvements, and report accurate and timely financial information. A key element that connects these roles are in-depth, contextual analyses about all aspects of the business; something that is easily accomplished in a cloud company like Five9 since there is an abundance of consistent and coherent data. He also believes it is essential to have best-in-class, scalable, and integrated systems, as well as a strong, seasoned finance team.
Scott Welch is the executive vice president of cloud operations at Five9 and is responsible for technology operations, telecom services, security, platform architecture and platform engineering. Scott is a seasoned executive with more than 24 years of experience in software development, technology operations, and management.
Prior to Five9, Welch spent ten-plus years at inContact where he managed a team responsible for several operational functions, including telecom operations, cost of goods, system and network administration, security, database administration, billing operations, network provisioning, and a 7x24 network operations center. Welch also held positions as vice president information services, vice president of application development, and information technology director at various technology companies prior to 2003.
Scott is driven by a strong desire to deliver technology for critical systems in a high tech environment. He believes that system availability is like air for customers, it’s necessary every moment and critical when you don’t have it. He takes pride in delivering results through a team that is just as passionate as he is about platform performance.
Dan Burkland is responsible for the Five9 global sales and business development activities across all markets.
Dan has more than 20 years of experience building successful sales organizations. Before Five9, Dan was SVP of Sales at Transera Communications. He also ran worldwide sales for IP Unity, growing the business tenfold, and held sales management positions at Cisco and GeoTel.
Dan’s approach to enterprise sales is rooted in extensive experience selling cloud contact center and telecommunications solutions. He hires sales reps with deep industry expertise who share his passion for exceeding customer expectations.
Gaurav Passi is the Executive Vice President of Product Management and Application Development and is responsible for product strategy & roadmap, application development, quality engineering and product operations at Five9. Gaurav brings passion and leadership to Five9, with more than 20 years of experience in the enterprise and cloud software industry. He has helped define products, penetrate new markets and streamline operations for multibillion-dollar enterprises, as well as startups.
Prior to joining Five9, Gaurav was vice president of products at Deutsche Telekom HBS (T-Mobile brand), where he built and took to market a cloud PBX offering. He also spent more than ten years at Amdocs, most recently as vice president of product for the customer experience business unit, where he built next generation contact center platforms. Gaurav also held executive leadership positions at Rainmaker Systems and Ciena.
Gaurav’s philosophy for product management is based on “starting with the customer.” This is the belief that understanding unresolved market problems starts with the customer’s desired experience, and working from there to come up with clear definitions of a solution with a unique value proposition. As part of his philosophy, Gaurav strives to empower his product managers to make great products a reality by helping them assume the role of “product CEO’s”.
Kevin Gavin is Chief Marketing Officer at Five9 with responsibility for marketing communications, lead generation, product marketing and channel marketing. Kevin has a consistent track record of success building powerful brands and enabling rapid revenue growth for leading enterprise communications companies in high growth categories.
Kevin’s executive experience includes 6 years as Chief Marketing Officer at ShoreTel (NASDAQ: SHOR), where he was responsible for establishing the ShoreTel brand as a recognized leader in providing of business communications solutions to enterprises. He also helped drive the transition at ShoreTel to focus on a cloud-based communication as a service business model.
Previous to ShoreTel, Gavin was CMO at GoBeam Communications, a VoIP-based hosted PBX service provider, Chief Marketing Officer at InternetConnect, Senior VP of Marketing at Softnet Systems, VP of Marketing and Product Development at Nextel Communications and Regional VP of Marketing at McCaw Cellular. Gavin is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mike Crane is the executive vice president of services at Five9 where he oversees the customer experience by leading the customer support, professional services, and custom solutions teams. A veteran of the technology industry, Mike brings over 20 years of experience in creating and scaling services that allow customers to absorb technologies and optimize their operations.
Prior to Five9, Mike spent more than 15 years at Cisco Systems, where he held numerous leadership roles in developing services across multiple platforms, industries, and geographic regions. In his most recent role of Vice President, Advanced Services, at Cisco, Mike was the General Manager of all service delivery across the Enterprise, Commercial, and Public Sector segments with a focus around driving customer loyalty and delivering business outcomes.

Homero Salinas has more than 10 years of experience in the cloud contact center industry and currently leads the company’s small and medium business sales and account management team.
Prior to Five9, Homero led the sales efforts for Contactual. Before entering the cloud technology industry, Homero worked for 12 years as an investment adviser for firms such as Lehman Brothers, UBS, and Roth Capital.

Jim Gomez oversees the professional services team and is responsible for the successful implementation of customers on the Five9 platform. He has more than 25 years of contact center leadership experience with expertise in the operational and technical areas of multi-site contact center management. Jim also has extensive knowledge of global workforce management, call routing strategy design, IVR, and the efficient integration of computer and telephony systems across all contact channels.
Before joining Five9, Jim held various leadership positions at Verizon where his teams assessed, designed and implemented strategic enterprise contact center technology; he also led the design of Genesys, Cisco and Avaya call center platforms for major corporate customers. Prior to Verizon, he was Director of Global Call Center Operations at MCI.
Jim’s customer-focused, process-oriented approach to contact center operations ensures that businesses are properly armed with the correct tools to provide the most efficient and effective customer experience, in line with their business goals.
Marissa Ramsey brings more than 20 years of contact center domain knowledge—with more than 13 of those years in cloud contact center product support—to her role as vice president of customer success. Marissa is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the customer support experience at Five9, including technical support, escalations account management, and technical account management.
Before Five9, Marissa worked at Contactual where she held leadership positions in sales engineering, professional services, account activations, and technical support. Marissa began her career in contact center operations, where she opened, staffed, and maintained blended contact center environments in the financial industry.
Marissa's customer experience philosophy is built on the idea that “the customer's perception is the reality.” She uses this philosophy to help Five9 make the customer the primary consideration in technical and strategic decisions. She believes her role is to be the customer’s voice within the company, advocating for customer-centric changes, enhancements, and processes.

Michael J. Burdiek has served as the president and chief executive officer and also as a member of the Board of Directors of CalAmp since 2011. From 2006 to 2011, Michael held various positions at CalAmp, a global provider of wireless communications solutions, including president of CalAmp’s Wireless DataCom segment and president and chief operating officer. Prior to joining CalAmp, Michael was the president and CEO of Telenetics Corporation, a manufacturer of data communications products. From 1987 to 2003, Michael held a variety of technical and general management positions with Comarco Inc., most recently as senior vice president and general manager of Comarco's Wireless Test Systems unit. Michael holds a master’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from California State University, Fullerton, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Kansas State University.
Dave DeWalt has more than 25 years of experience building innovative, industry-leading technology companies, creating billions of dollars in shareholder value. Dave currently is the chairman of the board and CEO of FireEye, Inc. He also serves as chairman of the board at Polycom and Mandiant and is a board member at Delta Airlines and Jive Software. Previously, he held executive positions at technology companies including Oracle, EMC, Documentum, Intel, and McAfee. Dave is also a recognized authority on cyber security and was appointed in May 2011 by President Barack Obama to the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Council (NSTAC).
Jack Acosta has served in a board role for multiple companies. Previously, Jack served as CFO and vice president of finance for Portal Software. Prior to Portal Software, Jack served as executive vice president and CFO as well as vice president, engineering services, integration, and business management for Sybase, Inc. Jack was also the president, COO, and a director of Tanon Manufacturing, Inc. Robert Zollars brings 30 years of experience building world-class enterprises to Five9. He currently serves as Executive Chairman of Vocera Communications, Inc., an instant wireless communications solution provider, where he previously served as both chairman and CEO. He has previously served as CEO of Wound Care Solutions, Inc., CEO and chairman of the board of Neoforma, Inc., executive vice president and group president at Cardinal Health, Inc., and division president of four different operating units at Baxter International, Inc. Robert also currently serves as the chairman of the board for Diamond Foods, Inc., and as a board member for VWR International, LLC. He received a MBA in finance from John F. Kennedy University and a BS in marketing from Arizona State University.
