Enabling Five9 Identity Service: We’re Just Getting Started
Until now, Five9 Identity Services (FIS), was available by request for select domains. Today, I’m excited to share that FIS is now generally available, and ready to help every Five9 customer strengthen security and simplify user access. To put this milestone in context, here’s how our Chief Information Security Officer, Igor Varnava, describes in a recent letter about the evolution of FIS:
“FIS 2.0 is a modern, centralized identity management solution that redefines how users and applications authenticate to the Five9 platform. It introduces enhanced security features, including strong password policies, multi-factor authentication (MFA), seamless single sign-on (SSO), and advanced security analytics — all designed to streamline access control and strengthen protection across the contact center ecosystem. This upgrade represents a strategic modernization of our identity architecture, delivering a robust and scalable foundation that simplifies operations while meeting the evolving security and integration needs of our diverse customer base.”
Safeguarding User Credentials
You can find step-by-step migration guidance in the Administrator Guide for Five9 Identity Service Or, if you’d like more support, reach out to us, including your Technical Account Manager or Customer Account Representative, we’re here to help you plan and implement with confidence.
And this is just the beginning! We recently released into controlled availability our Automated User Management (AUM) feature, which builds on the newest version of FIS. AUM combines two powerful capabilities:
System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM): Industry-standard APIs for provisioning users across systems
Circles: A new way to automate assigning skills, applications, and other Five9 profile data.
Together, SCIM and Circles create a fully automated process for provisioning, updating, and deprovisioning users. The result:
Less manual administration
Faster and more accurate onboarding
Stronger compliance and governance
With FIS 2.0 and AUM, we’re helping you strengthen identity security while removing friction from everyday operations—so your teams can focus less on administration and more on delivering great customer experiences.
