Fees and Surcharges

Charges for Five9’s services are exclusive of the following fees and surcharges, which are shown separately in the “Fees and Surcharges” section of your invoice

Federal Universal Service Fund

This surcharge is a means for Five9 to recover required contributions to the Federal Universal Service Fund (USF). The USF comprises various subsidies and fees managed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and is applied to interstate and international telecommunication services. The USF rate is adjusted quarterly by the FCC.

Regulatory Recovery Surcharge

As a telecommunications provider, Five9 is subject to various government-imposed fees. The Regulatory Recovery Surcharge is assessed on interstate and international telecommunications to recoup some of these costs. The underlying government-imposed fees include Telecommunications Relay Service, Federal Regulatory Fee, North American Numbering Plan Fee, and Local Number Portability charges. Other fees include State & local property taxes, cost recovery fees, and additional surcharges charged to Five9 by telecommunications carriers. The Regulatory Recovery Surcharge may change at times to adjust to current government-imposed fees.

Administrative Fee

This fee is a means to help Five9 defray costs associated with telecommunications compliance and is applied to all telecommunications charges.
