Fees and Surcharges

Taxes, Fees and Surcharges

Five9 services may be subject to the following taxes, fees and surcharges:

Federal Universal Service Fund

This surcharge is a means for Five9 to recover required contributions to the Federal Universal Service Fund (USF). USF is comprised of various subsidies and fees managed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and is applied to interstate and international telecommunication services. The USF rate is adjusted quarterly by the FCC.

Regulatory Recovery Fee

As a telecommunications provider, Five9 is subject to various government-imposed fees, including Telecommunications Relay Service, Federal Regulatory Fee, North American Numbering Plan Fee and Local Number Portability charges. Other fees include State & local property taxes, cost recovery fees, and other surcharges charged to Five9 by telecommunications carriers. The Regulatory Recovery Fee is assessed on interstate and international telecommunications to recoup some of these costs.

Administrative Fee

This fee is a means to help Five9 defray certain costs associated with telecommunications compliance and is applied to all telecommunications charges.
