Five9 Summer Intern Spotlight: Celebrating the Class of 2021
This summer has been an exciting one at Five9, and we were proud to kick it off by welcoming 45 interns to our intern program.
It’s a great responsibility to be able to contribute to the growth and development of young talent. We make this happen not only through our speaker series, which includes lunches with CEO Rowan Trollope, EVP of Operations Jim Doran, and CTO Jonathan Rosenberg, but also by providing substantive, impactful work.
Here are few examples of things our interns have been up to this summer:
Our Platform Product Management intern helped drive research and analysis of key strategic enhancements to improve service resiliency. The outcomes of this initiative around platform observability and synthetic monitoring will significantly benefit Five9 in delivering resilient service to our customers. Our Partner Marketing Intern jumped right in helping drive new global partner program collateral, messaging, new partner webpages, supporting event strategies, and weighing in on important partner initiatives. Our Business Development Intern is migrating content from the existing Five9 Marketplace and collecting additional content from new partners for the launch of the new CX Marketplace that will be taking place before Five9 CX Summit.
These bright young professionals offer fresh perspectives, and we value their accomplishments at every level of the organization.
In celebration of all our interns have achieved this summer, and in honor of National Intern Day on July 29, we want to share some of their experiences.
Overall, Five9 has given me an incredible experience that I will never forget. From the weekly intern hangouts to organized speaker events, I felt at home at this job.

My manager is very trusting. She knows that I am new to the whole Five9 product suite but has set up a safe environment for me to make mistakes, learn, and explore.
