Virtual Events still rule the roost.
For many of us, these are the last working days of 2021. It’s a time when I tend to sit back a little and reminisce. I’m happy to say it has been another momentous year despite the ongoing limitations from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Of course, virtually all the Marketing events were virtual: the Five9 EMEA Summit back in May, Webinars, Fireside Chats, Forrester CX Forum EMEA, Contact Center Summit, the LATAM Summits in November, and our first ever Canadian Summit in December to name a few.
Some events that had been planned as physical events reverted back to a virtual approach; other key industry events were cancelled completely - and a great many ‘plans made’ had to be rapidly remade to continue.
Our teams around the globe became adept at turning plans upside down within hours to make events successful, and of course our valued partners who participated in our programs to support us through the year also had to embrace this highly flexible approach.
After almost two years in a virtual environment, we managed to attend the Call & Contact Centre Expo in November in London in person. Being able to actually meet up with members of the team after such a long absence was more emotional than I had anticipated.
2022 planning is in full motion! CCW Berlin is next up on the list, and we are looking forward to being Berlin for this event providing it is not affected by new and as yet unforseen pandemic restrictions.
